Wolf Cooktop

Wolf RT484F

Model # RT484F

The RT484F combines four open burners with a French top on a 48-inch rangetop from Wolf’s original R/RT generation — the French top on its own dedicated burner and control, raised knobs forward of the counter line, no oven beneath any of it.

A French top’s solid cooking surface heats from below through a design that spreads heat unevenly by intent, hotter at the center and cooler toward the edges, so uneven heat by itself is not necessarily a problem — a French top that will not heat at all, or has developed a cold spot where there should not be one, is the complaint actually worth a service call.

Key Features

  • 48-inch gas rangetop with four open burners alongside a French top and no oven beneath it
  • Spark module with a dedicated electrode and valve micro-switch at each burner
  • Raised control panel bringing the knobs forward of the counter line
  • Separate French top section with its own burner and control

FAQ

Wolf RT484F FAQ

Some unevenness is by design — French tops run hotter toward the center and cooler at the edges intentionally. A cold spot that should not be there, or no heat at all, is what is actually worth a service call.

Not necessarily — the French top runs on its own dedicated burner and control, so a problem there is typically contained and does not require touching the open burners.
