Wolf Cooktop

Wolf CT15I/S

Model # CT15I/S · 2005-2014 (legacy, well out of manufacturer warranty)

The CT15I/S is a compact 15-inch induction cooktop from Wolf’s CT line, sized to serve as a secondary cooking zone — dropped in beside a range or another cooktop — rather than to cover a household’s full cooking needs on its own. It carries the same capacitive touch controls and cookware-detection sensing as the wider CT cooktops, just scaled down to a single or double zone.

Because it is so often installed as a secondary unit, a no-heat complaint on the CT15I/S is sometimes actually a cookware compatibility issue rather than a failure — some cookware that works fine on a gas burner has no magnetic base at all and simply will not be detected here. Confirming the cookware first can save a wasted visit before we ever look at the sensor or control board.

FAQ

Wolf CT15I/S FAQ

A magnet should stick firmly to the base of the pan. If it doesn’t, or only sticks weakly, that cookware isn’t a good match for induction regardless of the cooktop’s condition.

Not inherently — it uses the same sensor and control technology as Wolf’s larger CT cooktops, just built into fewer zones, so the same failure points and reliability apply.
