The IR30450/S/P is a 30-inch Wolf induction range: four induction elements above a convection oven, with no gas connection anywhere in the appliance. Each element has its own coil and its own pan-detection sensing, so a fault usually shows up on one zone rather than across the whole surface.
The single most common non-fault on the IR30450/S/P is cookware: induction needs a magnetic, flat-bottomed pan, and a warped or aluminium pan reads exactly like a detection failure from the cook’s side. If a pan that used to work suddenly is not recognised, that is a different story and worth a visit.
The suffix carries more information than people expect: IR for Induction Range, 30 for the cabinet width in inches, 4 for the four induction elements, the 50 or 51 before the option letters for the control generation and S/P for a stainless front with Professional handles.
