What F10 (Convection Steam Oven) Means
F10 is the moisture and stuck-button message. Wolf's CSO24 Convection Steam Oven Service Manual maps it to three errors: a control button held closed for at least 60 seconds, the control unit's moisture sensor closed for at least 20 seconds, and leaked water detected for at least 10 seconds - the last attributed to a water tank valve that is not sealing.
Common Causes of F10 (Convection Steam Oven)
- A water tank valve not sealing, letting water escape where the leak detector finds it
- Moisture on the control unit, tripping its moisture sensor
- A mechanically blocked control button held closed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check the water tank and its seat carefully. A tank valve that is not tight is one of the three named causes, and it is the one you can see. Then dry the control panel thoroughly and let it air before trying again.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- This appliance has a leak detector for a reason: water reaching the control area is exactly the situation to isolate at the breaker rather than investigate live.
- Drying a panel with heat or compressed air can force moisture further into the assembly rather than out of it.
- A tank or valve replaced without finding where the water actually went leaves any wetted electronics unattended.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
