What 6A30 Means

Wolf's M Series Troubleshooting Manual lists 6A30 as an Ethernet communication error at priority 3. M Series control modules have a network capability used for connected features and for service, and this code records that side of the module failing to communicate. It does not touch the oven's ability to heat.

Common Causes of 6A30

  • A home network or router problem rather than an appliance problem
  • A cable or connector issue on the network side of the module
  • A network circuit problem on the interface module itself

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try

If the oven is connected to your home network, check the router and the connection the same way you would for any other device. If it never was connected, the code is informational and nothing needs doing.

⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That

  • Connected features are separate from the oven's cooking control, so there is no cooking benefit to chasing this one into the housing.
  • Network troubleshooting on the home side costs nothing and resolves a fair proportion of these.
  • Replacing an interface module over a priority 3 network entry would be a large repair for a feature that does not affect cooking.

Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
