Step 1: Let the Unit Cool
Give the cooktop time to cool fully before attempting anything else — don’t try to force a reset while it’s still warm.
Step 2: Power-Cycle the Breaker
Turn the home circuit breaker for the unit off for 30 seconds, then back on, and retest — this is Wolf’s own recommended step.
Step 3: Check Ventilation Underneath
Confirm the cabinet space beneath the cooktop isn’t blocked by stored items or a tight drawer, since restricted airflow is a common contributing cause.
Step 4: Book a Diagnostic If It Returns
