Wolf Microwave

Wolf MW24

Model # MW24 · 2002-2013 (legacy, well out of manufacturer warranty)

The MW24 is a standard swing-door built-in microwave — the more straightforward of Wolf’s built-in microwave configurations, without the drawer mechanism of the MDD line or the added convection system of a speed oven. Most faults come down to the door latch switch (which the control board treats as a safety interlock before allowing a cycle to start), the magnetron itself, or the control board.

Because it’s built into cabinetry, our technicians work carefully to access the unit’s internals without damaging surrounding trim, and we confirm the actual failed component — latch switch, magnetron, or board — before recommending a repair.

FAQ

Wolf MW24 FAQ

That pattern often points to the magnetron or a related high-voltage component rather than the control board, since the control system is clearly powering the unit correctly — it needs a technician rather than a DIY check given the voltages involved.

No — stop using it and book a diagnostic. Arcing can mean metal contact, cavity damage, or a magnetron-related issue, and continuing to run it isn't safe until it's inspected.
