What RELAY STUCK Means
This code means the control board has detected that one of its relays isn't releasing the way it should — the relay that's supposed to switch a heating circuit on and off is reporting as stuck, which the board flags as a safety-relevant problem rather than a routine one.
Common Causes of RELAY STUCK
- A relay contact welded or stuck in the closed position
- A control board problem falsely reporting a stuck relay
- Age-related wear on the relay after repeated switching cycles
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn the oven off at the breaker rather than relying on the display or control panel — if a relay is genuinely stuck closed, the display showing "off" doesn't guarantee the circuit actually is. Leave it off until it's inspected.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A relay stuck closed can keep a heating circuit energized even when every indicator says the oven is off — this is exactly the kind of problem where continuing to use the appliance is genuinely unsafe.
- Confirming which relay is actually stuck requires testing with the board powered, which is a real shock hazard without the right equipment.
- This is one of the few codes here where we'd say don't just reset and try again — cut power at the breaker and have it inspected.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
